Achieving Respiratory Wellness: ALVEFLEXIN®Plus and the Normalization of the Functional State of the Respiratory System
Breathing: there is no more natural act, so natural that we do not even notice that we are breathing in and out, and we do it around 20,000 times a day! However, behind this involuntary and apparently simple mechanism, lies a delicate apparatus made up of a myriad of specialised cells that work together for our well-being.
Omraam Mikhaël Aïvanhov, a distinguished Bulgarian philosopher and pedagogue once said: “ All the secret of life is in the breath” and this spiritual saying is a truth that is shared by all living creatures.
The respiratory system is a delicate system that allows the body to breathe, namely to take in the oxygen contained in the air and, at the same time, to expel the carbon dioxide produced by cellular activity, which is a harmful waste product.
In order to prevent the onset of disorders or pathological conditions affecting the respiratory system, it is undoubtedly important to adopt a healthy lifestyle.
On the other hand, it is equally important to regularly supply the respiratory system with the right substances, such as high-quality supplements, to keep it healthy and reduce its susceptibility to external factors by normalizing its functions.
For over 30 years, Nanopep’s research team has been studying peptides and their health applications, and over time has developed a range of top-quality products to help prevent or combat pathological conditions in our body’s cells, tissues, organs and systems.
The respiratory system can be subject to different types of diseases
The main components of the respiratory system are the nose with its cavities, the mouth, the pharynx, the nasopharynx, the larynx, the trachea, the bronchi, the bronchioles, the lungs and the diaphragm and intercostal breathing muscles.
All this complex apparatus can be subject to pathologies of different kinds such as:
Obstructive – chronic diseases that cause airway obstruction, with usually irreversible damage to the structures of the lungs in which respiratory exchanges take place (lung acini), such as:
- Asthma;
- Chronic Bronchitis;
- Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD);
- Pulmonary Emphysema;
- Some types of cancer.
Restrictive – diseases that cause reduced distensibility of the lungs, impairing the capacity of the lungs to expand, such as, e.g:
- Pulmonary Fibrosis;
- Obesity;
- Pneumonia;
- Respiratory distress syndrome;
- Tuberculosis.
Infective – diseases that may be symptomatic and self-limiting, depending on the area of respiratory tract infections, e.g:
- Rhinosinusitis;
- Pharyngitis;
- Tonsillitis;
- Otitis media externa;
- Laryngotracheitis.
Smog and pollutants in the atmosphere can also cause some of the diseases listed above.
ALVEFLEXIN® Plus: a great ally for the protection of the respiratory system
Nanopep’s ALVEFLEXIN® Plus combines the effects of two highly
effective peptides, AEDL and KE (VILON®), whose benefits as bioregulators of respiratory function and as antiinflammatory agents have long been proven.
The remarkable permeability of these two molecules to cell membranes promotes faster regulation of protein synthesis. The result is a more rapid normalisation of the biochemical composition of bronchial cells, an increase in natural resistance to cell damage and faster cell rejuvenation.
The special ingredients of ALVEFLEXIN® Plus include also Vasicin extracted from the plant Adhatoda vasica. Vasicin shows marked bronchodilator activity, and has the effect of increasing and improving respiration in subjects with respiratory disorders or conditions.
In addition, this alkaloid increases the production of serous mucus in the airways, making the phlegm thinner and less viscous, which enables the cilia to transport it more easily out of the lungs.
The recommended daily dose of ALVEFLEXIN®Plus is 1 capsule per day for 30 days, with a recommended restart after 6 months. We strongly advise against using ALVEFLEXIN®Plus as a substitute for a varied and balanced diet and healthy lifestyle, or in the event of hypersensitivity or allergy to any of its components.
ALVEFLEXIN® Plus can be combined with EPITALON®, a supplement for normalizing the central nervous system. This product, thanks to Peptide AEDG (EPITALON®) and Vitamin B6, supports anti-oxidative processes, regulates peroxide oxidation processes in brain tissue, and promotes the rejuvenation of various cell types, including those that make up the respiratory tract.
Asthma can also be fought by reducing stress
Asthma is an inflammatory, immunologically based disease affecting the bronchi. There is broad agreement in the scientific community to speak of psychosomatic asthma, or stress-induced asthma. Anxiety can often favour an asthmatic crisis: events such as a panic or anxiety attack can in fact play a heavy role on lung function, activating in an intense and violent manner and ‘weighing’ primarily on the bronchi.
There is also the possibility that an asthma crisis triggered by a ‘normal’ allergy or inflammation to the pathogen may generate worry and anxiety, and circularly worsen respiratory activity.
Products such as RESINFLEXIN®Plus and STRESSFOLL® can help to keep psycho-emotional stress under control and consequently avoid being overly prey to anxiety and, for those prone to asthma attacks, to alleviate the emotional disturbance caused by the respiratory disease itself.
